Protective in more ways than one, the Route One Mason Kevlar Jeans are a lightweight, comfortable motorcycle riding jean, that feature some clever tricks to make your life on the road easier.

The high-quality denim outer construction gives the impression of a casual pair of jeans that you’d wear in the day to day world. However, lurking beneath the high-quality denim outer is official DuPont Kevlar at the seat, hips, knees and outer thighs. The inclusion of this highly abrasion resistant material at these areas makes for an ideal motorcycle riding jean that will stand up to the intense scraping against the road surface, akin to what would be experience in a slide across tarmac.

The Route One Mason Jean also features CE Level 2 knee armour which is fitted in dedicated pockets and is adjustable, allowing you tailor the position of the knee armour to suit your knees. Pockets for hip armour are also included and the CE approved hip armour can be purchased separately.

Coating the denim outer is a Huntsman water repellent treatment; this brilliant waterproof treatment causes water to bead and run off the jeans, keeping you dry if you get caught out in the worst of the weather. Further the Huntsman treatment, a Reissa waterproof, breathable membrane beneath the denim outer maximises the waterproofing aspect of these Kevlar jeans, ensuring that your base layers underneath remain fresh and dry when you arrive at your destination.

You’ll also find welded waterproof YKK zippers, which lock out the water from entering the pockets, keeping your belongings dry in these waterproof jeans. You’ll find these welded zippers pockets at the central fly zipper, the two rear pockets as well as a smaller pocket at the front left of the jean. In addition to these pockets, two hip pockets offer additional storage opportunities for your essentials that you may need when on the road.

A comfort mesh inner lining, make for a comfortable soft environment for your legs to spend the day in, helping to separate the skin from the inside of the jean, a welcomed feature for summer riders. The branding on the jean is subtle, with a Route One belt patch at the rear of these motorcycle jeans as well as a Route One logo at the fastening button.
