Completely CE and CA UK certified, the Tucson jacket is created in a 600D polyester outer material for a very strong yet comfortable outer construction. This material is double stitched throughout at the seams, offering increased strength and abrasion resistance should the worst occur. Beneath the surface the protection continues with a full five piece armour set. With CE level 2 armour at the elbows and shoulders and a CE level 1 back protector, helping limit impact energy transferral at these areas in the event of an off. Passive protection comes in the form of reflective detailing found at both the front and rear of the jacket, designed to improve your visibility when riding at night or in poor weather conditions.

Beneath the surface lies a completely waterproof membrane, designed to prevent water entry into the jacket and keep your base layers fresh and dry ready for when you reach your destination. The waterproof membrane is breathable too, allowing water vapour (sweat) to efficiently escape from within the jacket to keep you dry on the inside too. Furthering the precipitation protection, a large rain channel sits beneath the central closing zipper, helping to funnel away any water that may permeate the outer zipper.

The waterproofing properties extend to the pockets, most noticeably the two large capacity box pockets at the front of the garment as well as a large capacity rear map pocket at the back of the jacket, perfect for storing any essential documentation or maps that you may need when out on the road. At the front of the jacket, you will also find an additional mini pocket, ideal for storing your keys on keyless ignition bikes or anything else you might consider small and essential.

As an additional layer of insulation, the Tucson textile motorcycle jacket features a quilted thermal lining, which is a welcome feature for the all weather bikers and for those who will inevitably be riding in colder conditions when touring. This thermal lining can be easily removed, leaving a lightweight summer motorcycle touring jacket, and stored in a pannier bag or rucksack for easy reattachment when the situation calls for it. A fixed mesh comfort interior liner helps stop the outer textile material from clinging to your skin when riding in warmer weather.

This textile touring jacket features a great deal of ventilation, including two zipped vents at the front of the jacket along with two zipped rear vents, allowing direct cool air flow into the jacket as well as allowing warm stale air to escape. Additional upper chest vents can be held open with a simple magnet, offering an even larger amount of air to enter the jacket, a blessing for summer bikers.

Adjustment points at the upper arms and waistbelt ensure that the Spada Tucson jacket is the perfect fit each and every time. These adjustment points allow for accommodation of additional layers beneath the jacket or to take up the available space with the thermal lining removed. A Velcro cuff adjustment allows for gloves to either sit comfortably under the cuff or above. A neoprene comfort collar is a welcome feature for the longer distance riders, providing a soft material at the neck in an area which may become irritated with substandard materials. Greater comfort comes in the form of accordion stretch panelling found at the shoulders and rear of the jacket and allowing unrestricted movement, both when riding the bike and walking around at your chosen destination.
