Total weather protection is offered through the use of a thermal liner which is fully removable making for a jacket that can be used regardless of the temperature. The fixed waterproof and windproof liner keeps you dry when using the jacket in the summer, even if you get caught in a sudden summer downpour. The Velcro retained storm flap further minimises water entering the jacket in heavy rain and other conditions. Reflective areas on the jacket provide an extra element of visibility in poor weather or darkness.

Ventilation and being able to modify this to suit climates is important in a touring jacket. Ventilation is provided with two ventilated areas with zipper closures, designed to allow cool air to enter the jacket and keep the rider cool even in the warmest of temperatures.

Storage is a non-issue with the Munich jacket; two large external pockets at the front of the jacket and two internal pockets provide plenty of storage opportunities for the rider to store items on their person that need to be readily accessible. For large items such as maps, there is a rear map pocket at the rear of the jacket for storing such an item. Two external hand warming pockets are present on the Munich jacket, giving you somewhere to keep your hands warm when off the bike and out of your gloves.

YKK zippers are used throughout this jacket such as for the main central zipper that provides the main closure for the jacket but also for the 8-inch connection zipper that sits at the rear of the jacket and can be used to connect the Munich jacket to any compatible Weise trouser for the ultimate touring outfit.
